Help Selection Bits For Domino XL

I have the 12mm & 14mm bits for the XL. I also purchased the RTS-500 adapter for the XL. I know I have to purchase the smaller 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm bits for the 500 and use the adapter but is it best to buy the 8mm & 10mm in the XL size and not use the adapter or use the adapter with the 500 equivalents?

Mike,

I would buy the 8mm and 10mm cutters for the XL700 since you can always use the depth setting for whatever material your cutting into.  I purchased the Imperial gauge and thickness gauge set for using with my smaller cutters.

Thanks Jack - exactly what I was looking for. That depth gauge looks great but little pricy. (although looks like high quality goods)

Mike, That's the depth gauge and Imperial step stop for that price.  The nice thing is that set allows you to use the smaller cutters and center them on thinner stock.
