Hinge Overlay with Zero Reveal

I am building a 8 linear feet of frameless cabinets using 18mm prefinished birch plywood for the carcass.  The doors and drawers fronts will be made from 18mm HDF with glue down wood looking laminate.  For the edge banding on the carcass should I go with edge banding the same color as the prefinished birch or the wood looking laminate being used for the doors and drawer fronts (darker color)?  My concern is if I go with birch edge banding you will be able to see the carcass when the doors are closed.  When using the Blum BH71B3550 hinge and Bh175H7100 base plate the data sheets states the smallest reveal with 18mm plywood is 0.9mm. So between two cabinets the reveal would be 1.8mm.  Is there another hinge or adjustments I can make with zero reveal/ full overlay?

Thanks in advance.

Trust me on this, you don't want to do that
3mm reveal is usually what manufacturer go by
With no reveal you can't make any adjustment

Yes. Typically the exposed edge on frameless cabinets are the same as the door/drawer fronts. I have made cabinets both ways, (oak on maple e.g.) but if there is big difference in tone then I like using the same as the door and drawer fronts.

You will be the only one to notice. No one else will be able to even see it, or care.
Everyone will notice doors that bind or close too far off the frame if you try to close up the space between the doors.

Anything less than the 0.9 will cause the face corner, hinge side to contact the door next to it. Even though the hinges swing the door away, the corner still swings into the space between the doors.

As you  can see in the photo, these cabinets are made with Maple melamine interiors and edging with 2mm gaps on all 19mm doors. You need to be precise in door dimensions and installation of cases, and you still have some adjustment.

We've been working with 2mm gaps in the last 20 years.
