Hello Everyone

I managed to get my hands on some new technology from Hitachi - one of their brushless range of machines. It was really good to play with this drill-driver. Even though it was a demo machine and had been at various shows and in some unskilled hands it performed brilliantly. Take a look...

Great review Peter!

It's really funny for me to see the 4.0ah batteries, just a week ago I was chatting with a service tech who was telling me about rumors of a coming wave of 4.0ah and 2.0ah batteries coming to replace the current batch of 3.0ah and 1.5ah batteries that currently represent most of the market. It appears those batteries will be arriving sooner rather than later!

Hi Tom

I know that the 2 Ah batteries are on the way as I hope to be testing them in the next few weeks. But anyone with slide on batteries (3 Ah or whatever) should be able to use those batteries on the new range of machines AND be able to use the new batteries on their old machines - a theoretical win-win situation.

It sucks to have Hitachi's that use post style batteries ....  [crying]

FOR SALE ...  [smile]

Hi Kev

I was beginning to feel left out with my old NiCads which, of course, are post style but...they all seem to be hanging in there and I am sure that I am at least a year away from the big upgrade.

I am waiting for the courier to collect the brushless machine - a sad day here at Parf HQ!
