Hi folks,
I've drank the koolaid last year and picked up a nice array of festools. What better excuse than to make stuff eh? Me and two of my boys play ice hockey and it can sure get cluttered with all the protective equipment for everyone. We had been using a wire rack for a couple years but over time it just became a place to just haphazardly pile on the gear. It became obvious that I needed to build a cabinet or shelf to house all the gear.
I decided on melamine as I had just recently finished some builtin cabinets and had no desire whatsoever to sand and paint. Also because I wanted the exterior surface to be hard, durable, and water resistant since there is going to be of moisture when hanging stinky gear out to dry.

Overall it was a great project that only took a few weekends. The toughest part was definitely getting the melamine sized down. Those panels are heavy!
