Hi all,

I live in Tampa and I think Woodcraft is my only local vender.

I want to buy an MFT/OF1010 bundle but I want to get a holey rail with it instead of ANOTHER standard rail.

I have read that some dealers will do this. Can anyone direct me to such a vender?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps Tool Nut can help. Shane..?

EDIT - The router does not come with a rail, the MFT a 42" rail. The 'holey' rail only comes in 55 and 95 inch lengths, so I think you would have to purchase the holey rail on its own anyhow....

Welcome to the forum.

As was mentioned, the MFT's rail is 42" and the holey rail comes in 55" or 95" lengths. It's possible to put a longer rail on the MFT and let the extra overhang in the rear.

But, we cannot substitute rails on an MFT easily. It would mean opening the box, removing the existing rail, moving that 42" rail into inventory to be sold as an individual item, and then shipping the holey rail separately because it's too long for the MFT box. So, I don't think this is going to be an option from any dealer due to the complexity.

But, we can definitely swap rails on TS saws since they are packaged separately from the saw anyway.

Sorry.

But if you do move forward with a mail order purchase, give Tool Nut a shot! Great service, I have had zero issues over multiple orders with them.....  [wink]

And in fairness, I also have used Bob Marino, amazing packaging from them. And In Touch Tools in Palm Desert, CA

Hi all,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I missed the fact along the way that the rails were different lengths and I figured they were shipped separately like my others.

You guys rule.

I just place my order. You might want to give copcarcollector an extra entry in your sweepstakes or something.

Seriously though, thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

I know, right--??!!  [unsure]

Jeremy, enjoy the tools! If you have questions the FOG is a great resource.
