You know how filing cabinets have some mechanism to prevent you from opening more than 1 drawer at a time, so that it doesn't topple over?
Does someone know if there is hardware or plans for something like this to make for my own cabinet?
I've used the AccuRide drawer interlocks, and they work well. They do require drawer sides, so plan accordingly when designing your cabinet.
I wish I had done this. I have a set of SysPorts I made that hold two Sys on each tray. (From an old thread, SysPorts under construction) I have to be VERY mindful of opening more than one tray or things get tippy. I ended up using a safety strap (found them in Lowe's as an "earthquake strap" made to hold bookcases to the wall) to attach them to the wall for peace of mind.
