Been using a 37mm AS hoses for about a year, never a problem.... but now, the end keeps falling off.... the part that goes onto the tool....

It appears to thread back on, but eventually falls off after use..... what is the secret to keeping it on?

Also, is there an adapter that goes from the 50mm hose onto the TS75?

It threads back on but there is also a ring that snaps into the connector with two tabs to keep it in place.

You would need to come up with a non-Festool adapter to hook a D50 to the saw.  Ummmm, why?

Here's a thread with information on reassembling the hose end.

Make sure you're doing these steps to put it back on.

As for the 50mm hose, I don't know that you'd really see any noticeable improvement in dust extractor and the hose would be much more bulky. I don't know of any adapter offered by Festool to connect the 50mm hose to the TS 75. You can use the adapter 452897 to connect them together.

Thx Shane.... I knew there was a trick to getting the end back on the hose.... excellent post by another Festooler....

Why use the 50mm hose to the TS75?    Right now I only have 1 CT-22, it comes out into a Y, which feeds two sanders working simultaneously....
They use my 27 and 36mm hoses.... , the only hoses I have left for my TS75 station is the 50mm Festool hose, which I can run right off a 4" dust collection port coming from 5hp cyclone.   Since its up high, it lays over the table - nice - doesn't get caught on the edge of the table or material being cut.    so when all 3 stations are running, this is a nice options.   Otherwise I use the 36mm hose on the TS75.    Thx for the link to that adapter, I prob. have one, it didn't look like I imagined.    :-)

OK, one final hose question.... my 36mm AS hose.... the rubber end, when I insert it into the Plastic Vac handle for floor vacuuming, its too loose, falls out constantly .... this hose always suffered that issue, as if the rubber end is not quite wide enough... any suggestions?

I don't think there is real advantage to the 50mm hose on the TS75 although I never have tried it.  Why don't you give it a shot and let us know how it works out.

I'm not sure what floor vac piece you are referring to, more info please.

if your determined to use the 50mm hose  , a 36mm whip tail would be a good solution

use some glue (construction, epoxy etc) to glue back on the hose end

There is a slight advantage, but not enough to justify using it...as I mentioned, I only use the 50mm hose on the TS75 when my sanding stations are using my other two Festool hoses... its not often, but it happens.

I thought this question was clear....

by plastic vac handle, I mean this one.... the 36mm hose fits in the right side, but its a loose fit, so it constantly falls out... any thoughts?

I'm going to take a stab (pun intended) at this one with a question...

Is it pushed in all the way?

That's how we vacuum our house. We use a MINI, 36mm hose, and the Universal Cleaning Set, which uses that curved tube.

It should fit very snug. Mine does. I have two ideas to remedy this.

1 - Spend no money and use tape on the inside of the vac handle to reduce the diameter.
2 - Spend money and replace one of the two parts that is off.

Yes, the hose end is slammed tight into the plastic grip.... I know, ya gotta cover the obvious stuff first... fair enuff....

and yes, I tried blue tape inside the handle, and it works for a little while,  but then the 27mm hose won't squeeze in...

Its just one of those annoying little problems, I am not sure if its the plastic handle the wrong size, or the end of the 36mm hose that is undersized...
I guess the cheapest try, is to buy a new handle, and see if it fits snugger.... the 36mm hose seems to fit fine in the TS75...

I guess I just expect everything Festool should work....  :-)
