Just so happens I don't see well, so I find it hard to mess about under the mft each time I want to reach for my extractor hose and power lead.

I was thinking, it would be great if there were some form of hook or rest that fitted the side rail of the mft that I could rest the end of the hose and power cable into.

Anyone have any ideas?  Anyone else interested in such a thing or is it just me being strange (again, lol) ?

I actually put one of the Festool clamps on the side extrusion of the MFT and hook the hose and plug it over it so both are always within arms reach.

Boom arm over the work table would suffice too. Festool has a kit for their extractors and lots of folks come up with their own designs.

I use this with my 8020 table. It slides along the full length of the rail. I modified it by slotting the original hole on a bandsaw. With one on each side of the table they work well. I just make sure the strain relief portion of the cord rests in the hole.

I like that Cheese. Would be nice with two slots, one for the power cord and one for the hose.

Ya it's not perfect...I would rather hang the hose than hang the cord for strength/strain reasons obviously. But it's been working for the last year or so with no issues to the cord that I can see.

Thanks for your comment, I may try to come up with something a little different.  [big grin]

Cheese, do you know what that 80/20 part is called or a catalog number?  Thanks!

Ya, the part number is 40-2100 N. It's for use in the metric 40 series. I think it will also fit the imperial 15 series.

And  [welcome]  to the FOG.  [smile]
