How can it be so hot in March?

It was in the upper 70's today here in Pittsburgh.  I was sweating my butt off.  The forecast is for 81 F. tomorrow.  I'm getting my shorts out (I expect a ribbing from Corwin but that's okay).

So, what's it like where you are?

84 here today. More upper 70's and low 80's for the entire 10 day forecast. Pulled the shorts out yesterday. Dry as all get out here as well. Makes me wonder what we're in for this year. [scared]

In the lower 40's here.  And yesterday it was snowing just South of here.

I really hate to think about those short pants, Brice.  Especially after all that sweating...   [eek]  Yikes!!!

(and you were correct in predicting a comment from me...   [wink])

I could not believe it, when I woke up and there was snow on the ground!

Still risking frost damage at night here on the California coast. For us, it's been a very cold winter.

Warm today, but there's a big ass storm coming down from the NW, don't send those long pants out for storage....

Gonna be 86 today.  A little acclimation time would have been great.  A few weeks ago it was 80 degrees one day and then 2 days later we got the first snow of the year.  I feel sorry for the guys who make maple syrup.

You could come over to Finland and enjoy our exceptionally warm March @ 28F (-2C)

Definitely no need for shorts yet!  [big grin]

I'm certainly not fond of this heat by any stretch of the imagination, especially when we're working high in an auto repair garage without a/c, but what really concerns me is that if March is this hot, what is August going to be like?

[scared]

I'm with Corwin. Raining here in beautiful Seattle.

I was looking at Vegas and high today is 81 with a low of 55 tonight. But, by Sunday they are forecasting a high of 55 and low of 37. That's quite the shift in 3 days...!!

Low 80's today in the lowcountry! With the same temps for a week out.  Already doing yardwork and mowing lawn(s).  [big grin]

Going to be a brutal summer though...

Jon

I thinking it is unseasonably cool because we are just barely in the 80's.

Don, you are correct.

The weather patterns - which are different every year - have been such as to send your warmth over to us.  For the last few months I say thank you.

Mastercabman, Sparktrician, and I are all in Virginia.  I have to say that Virginia's weather has the real possibility of being wacky at this time of year - in any year.

Personally I don't think that weather this week will give any indication of weather three to 5 months from now, but I do believe that the weather patterns and the jest stream will effect the moisture distribution.

I hope that is a calm year for violent weather, but I have a hunch that my wish will be for naught.

Warm enough for me to shut the heat off for several days at a time. @$4.00 a gallon for home heating oil I'll take all the warm I can get. Gonna hate it if/when it gets hot as half the windows in my house don't open [sad]

Actually we had a pretty warm winter here in VA. So far i have not used my portable propane heater for work.Still in my shed!
I think there was a day or two that i wished i had my heater.

Oh, that must explain the funny weather!  [wink] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]
