How do I make this cut?

I have most of the golf ball case built.  I just received the crown this week, it's a flexible composite.  I had one of the pieces formed to the appropriate radius for the middle cabinet.  How do I make the cut at the intersection where the arch ends and it flattens out?  It seems to me that if I cut it directly at that intersection the edge of the arched piece will be wider than the straight piece and the profiles won't line up.  Is that true?  Or will it be okay since the crown is not laying flat? I've never worked with radiused molding so I'm kind of stuck on this one.

I would start with a full scale drawing.  I don't know how you would do the math on this one.  So off a full scale drawing plot and read your angles.  Next you need to build a cradle to position the work piece on the bed of saw.  I would use a chop saw, I have a newer Dewalt with a laser.  I like the forward placement of the laser for this use, I can see the alignment of the piece to the blade.  This is how I cut radius mouldings over doors and windows.  Good luck.

Chris, it's not so much that I'm worried about the actual cutting motion (I had planned on building a cradle), I'm wondering if cutting it at that angle will not allow the profiles to line up.  I'll take your advice and make some full scale drawings.  Thanks.

If the profiles are the same befor the cut and they are cut at recipicle angles then the details will line up.

That sure is a pretty cabinet.

Hey Russel...how'd you make on this?  I wanted to comment at the time but thought I'd make a horse's ass of myself.

My thought, was getting that transition accomplished was going be bitch no what, especially if clear finished.

Please show and tell.

I've almost got this thing wrapped up.  I'm waiting for the hardware which should be here tomorrow.  The cut wasn't bad.  I actually cut the arched piece with my ts 55 and then cut the small pieces on my kapex.  The cutting wasn't bad it has been the finishing that has been a pain.  I've never had to stain composite material before and it shows.  I ended up using a combination of tinted lacquer and glaze but I'm still not 100% happy with it.  The rest of the case looks alright.  I promise some pics within the next couple of days.
