Howdy. Just got a new Mini-Mite 4 Platinum and GxpC gun. I'm building shaker doors for kitchen and will be shooting BM Advance. Have learned all about viscosity, using 1.8 needle/nozzle/cap, etc. My questions have to do with thinning and keeping paint.
Right now, I'm playing with only 2 doors. I'll thin a part of a quart and shoot only enough to get first coats on one side. What do I do with the left-over thinned paint? Do you all:
- Pour it back into the original can? (I'll only be spraying this, so don't mind diluting the remainder.)
- Store it in another container and then re-check viscosity before using for next coats?
If I add the thinned left-over to the original can, I know that that dilutes it some. Does this present any problems for using it in the future, given that I'll check viscosity each time I set the gun up?
Any other thoughts or tips based on your methods and experience? Thanks!
