How many Canadians are swapping their Mini/Midi for CT 26?

I'm certainly keeping my mini.  I don't want to tote around anything larger.

(p.s I also have a CT 22 hooked up to a Festool WorkCentre but it stays in my workshed).

I still have to find an appropriate time where I won't need the thing for a week. plus I have to box it up somehow in order to ship it. Not happy with this. The midi is a good vac (was)

FYI it was closer to two weeks for me.  I had some jobs scheduled and it was a real pain to get an estimate of when I'd see it back once the unit had arrived.    Actually I never heard back on that one really despite calling - the dang things just showed up one day.
Handle showed up a few days later.  It was a real pain not knowing when the unit would arrive back and it being out closer to two weeks them the one week I was estimating.    Shipping wise it was delivered/received the next day - so it was a hold up at Festool's end.

The only other model I'd want other than my midi is the 36ac. Doug think festool would allow me to pay the difference between the 36ac and the 26 they are offering for my midi?

I did ask about just that Dogwood.  I was told that was not an option

None of your comments about Festool service have not been removed. The posts that were removed did not contain any content related to Festool service or your experience with Festool.

One was removed because you posted a PM.

Another was removed because you posted information contained in said PM , paraphrased to skirt the rule and privacy of said message.

And another was removed because you  insist on continuing to make posts such as the above to get a reaction and stir up a flame  war in this and the other related thread.

The duplicate postings of those posts were removed also.

Again none of the removed posts contained anything of value to add to the conversation. And all of your comments and experiences with Festool service are intact in this and other threads for everyone to read.

Further postings to continue this dialogue and turn it into a useless argument will be removed.

OK, silly question here: what is a PM?

A PM is a personal message - the contents of which are to be kept private and between the parties involved in the message.

So i just noticed that the new mini and midi are on the Canadian site minus the recall notice that was there before, whats up?

I would think somebody has simply forgotten to remove it.

I didn't see the new MINI/MIDI on the Canadian Festool site. If the new T-loc models get CSA approval I would expect those to become the available to swap for the recalled models. In the meantime I'm keeping my MIDI as this is not really a safety issue like the TS55R issue, it's just a regulatory issue.

I know there's probably nothing new on this front, but just wanted to throw a shout out that I would really love to be able to buy a Midi. I purchased the CT26 a few months ago and would like to dedicate a second vac to the Kapex but would love to have something smaller than the 26 to give a little versatility to my overall setup for when I want to do work outside the shop. Is there any long term plan to get these certified and back on sale again in Canada?
