How many of you have Multiple Dust Extractors?

For my Festool Kit I have a CT36 for sanding, routing, cutting, etc.  Then a CT Midi which is basically dedicated to the Kapex while in the shop and which moves with me the little I do outside the shop.

1 CT33 with a boom dedicated to the MFT/3 station where all the small tool work is done.
1 CT33 dedicated to the OF1010 for my Schmitt32 system (used to be dedicated to the Kapex)
A Jet JCDC-3 3hp Cyclone for almost everything else in the shop
A Ridgid wet/dry vac for the ShopSmith
Another old Ridgid wet/dry vac for general cleanup.

CT26 under the main assembly bench, Mini for on site, and a 5 gallon FÍEN on the Kapex ran thru an IVac switch box…..and dust collector takes care of Sawstop ect.

Festool CTL Midi (original with updated top) + CT-VA — for TKS tablesaw, sanding, sawing and domino-ing on and around MFT/3
Festool CTL-SYS — for incidental jobs away from the shop
Mirka 1230 L (OEM Nilifisk Attix 33) — with cyclone + barrel for Kapex 120 & when needed with router table
And a Felder AF14 — for planer/thicknesser, bandsaw and HS950 sander

I recently got my first, a Midi.  For use with my TS, Sander, Router, and Miter Saw.  I have a Rigid Shop Vac to clean up the work space and floor.

My miter saw is on a mobile cart, so the dust extractor works for it right now.  But for those with more dedicated miter saw stations, is a dedicated dust extractor better for you than running a line to the dust collector?  I see it often when looking through youtube videos of peoples shops.

We have a CT36E for the sanders, ETS's, RO's, RTS.  We use a Fein Turbo II for the OF's, DF's, TS's, Planers and the Kapex.  We have a circa 1998 stainless steel Shop Vac on the overarm guard on the Table Saw.

We use an Oneida Dust Gorilla Portable for the Table Saw, J/P, Band Saw, Router Table, and Drum Sander.

We have a Flex VCE44AC for general cleanup and an Atrix Lil' Red for small jobsite work. All are HEPA rated filtration and disposable bags, even the Oneida uses drum liners for ease of Cleanup.

I realize now that the sale listing I linked had changed after it was first brought to my attention.  It sounded like the house from hell with every surface damaged or spray painted - even the bathroom sink and tub.  And the unplugged freezer full of meat...  The person who told me of this listing said it would go for far more than the listed price even in that distressed shape.
I guess a complete rip out would let a person have the home the way they like it...  I wonder what it would cost to just get it back to new walls alone..

What employment in the area is supporting homes in the heated market?  Or are there a lot of speculative investors messing with the market?

My Makita 410 sounds like it's on its last legs, but what a workhorse that thing has been! I also got a good fifteen years out of a Turbo II before the auto-switch gave out. I keep meaning to fix it and sell or use it to death on some jobsite, but the Midi replaced it for the smaller jobs I do. The CT Sys seemed like it'd be perfect for those kinds of jobs, but "the button" swayed me away and now the Sys stays home a lot.

The area has 6 military bases and a lot of government contractors. These 2 things drive the market.

I hesitated on another CT-22 for the Kapex and it sold hours later. I have a bunch of bags for the 22 since getting a long-life bag for it so it would have worked out fantastic. Ended up modding a Steel City mini-inline DC with a chunk of D36 hose to deal with the Kapex. That DC was gold; I dunno why they discontinued it.

Just 2

CT 36 and recently added a CT-15 dedicated to my Kapex.

I will add having one dedicated to the Kapex was a good choice, I didn’t realize how often I was changing but some units you can add an additional outlet but I never really looked into that as an option

A Midi dedicated to the miter saw
A Midi with Oneida cyclone for bench work and cleanup

Everything else gets attached to the dust collector. In a 1200sqft shop with one person, this is doable. Sometimes I wish I had more, but that just takes up space.

Do have a M18 vac that sits in the trailer for site work, but I rarely use it. Mostly just gets used to cleanup after emptying cat litter trays...

2 older style Fein Turbo I’s (variable speed) with the blue Rockler cyclone buckets.  Not the most space-saving setups but work nicely in the shop or on site.

A CT-sys with CT cyclone.  I feel kinda meh about it.  The systainer integration is nice.  And a M18 vac which is handy on-site or in places I don’t want to lug the bigger vacs.  Did some nasty crawl space cleanup recently with it.

Been wanting to add a CT AC that’s better suited for drywall work at some point but the Feins are doing...fine.

Four:
1. Midi usually set up under and dedicated to the miter saw;
2. CT 26 with a Dust Deputy and homemade platform for attachments and small tools, this one roams the basement shop;
3. Oneida 1.5 HP Mini Gorilla on rollers near the heavy sawdust makers (planer, table saw, lathe); and,
4. Milwaukee 18-Volt Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum for the garage.

CT 22 and CT 26 for me. Would love to have a Mini or Midi to move around the house, but would be overkill. Also a Felder AF22 for big machines.

CT 26 that replaced a dead CT33. Mostly stays in the shop but gets to visit job sites sometimes. Love love love the Bluetooth!
Midi. Shop, job sites and sometimes comes home.
CTL-Sys job sites
I just got a compact DeWalt 20V vac. It’s the quicker picker upper and is proving very useful and is always in my truck.
And if we’re talking dust collectors in general then my Oneida V system 3000 cyclone takes care of the big stationary tools.

Do you have trouble with your foam and paper filter loading quickly and causing the alarm to flash? I loved mine for about a week, and now every time I turn it on, I have to clean the filter.
