The XL700 was on sale the year before the Kapex

I am not speaking for Festool here, but in the past they have accumulated refurbished tools over time so as to have an inventory.  It is my understanding that this year's sale was so successful that almost all of the remaining product was shipped out.  From a personal observation the success of the program also left many vocal dis-satisfied potential buyers that if the program happens again there are likely to be some tweaks.

I am just like you waiting for news of another event, but I personally don't anticipate a sale before the end of the year.

This got me thinking, I wonder what happens to all the reconditioned tools down under, we have the same 30 day return policy but I have never seen a recon tool sale advertised. I wonder where all the 30 day returned tools end up.

Well then I guess they won't do the Xl 700 if they just did it the other year. I just got in to buying festool last year. It was a thought.
