Hi team,

Real easy one here. Recently got an MFT/3 and I saw a post on this forum (can't find it anymore) where someone built a little rectangular hand tool holder box and mounted it on the left side of his or her MFT/3, which looked like a great idea.

The easiest thing I can think of would be to build a box and mount it with 2 bolts to the left side of the table, in the square track (the one that you can slide your clamps into).

Apologies if this is answered somewhere, but what size bolts do I need that run/fit into that track?

Thanks!
Matt

Both standard 1/4”-20 and 5/16”-18 hex head bolts will fit.  5/16 give more registration against the inside of the track due to the larger head, but 1/4” are fine too for something that’s not exerting too much pull out force.

T bolts, as Peter mentioned, will work well too, but slightly harder to find and you might need to cut to length.

I purchased this set off Amazon. Smaller set than the Lee Valley, but gave me something to mess around with as I also recently got a MFt1080 off CL. Don't see a real need for anything longer than 2" (thread) and as [member=13462]live4ever[/member] stated, 5/16 bolts are easy to find, just buy knobs
