The FOG often has questions/posts about holding a ROTEX. I was reminded of this today when sanding. With the suction at 40% on my CT22. I noticed the ROTEX in Random Orbital and with 240Grit Brilliant was almost floating like a ETS. We'll not quit?  [big grin]

Decided to video record and share on FOG. Note how I am holding the tool. The left hand is guiding, not gripping  or pushing down. The right hand is back on the vacuum hose, ensuring the sanding disc and pad are flat to the work surface. This is a variation on the method that has  often been suggested by myself and others on other posts.

To see the ROTEX in all three modes, you may want to also look at this video.

And yes, when I was beginning, my ROTEX bounced across the work surface, until I realised with some assistance from the FOG that the sander should do the work.

This ROTEX, I estimate is reaching around 10 hrs, and was not broken in.

Here's your videos shown on FOG. They only work with youtube.com address.  They will send  you to youtube when using the youtu.be addy.

Thanks for doing that, I had forgotten that was a problem.

What a wonderful Elf you are!  [smile]

My RO150 and RO90 are the pride of my Festool fleet.  Nothing else like them in the marketplace.  That's why Festool charges more for them and I gladly pay it.  They are worth it.
