I suppose that will do the job but that aint what I was looking for it was manual leaver pull and had a blade which looked like 8 inch long or something which was shaped similar to Fein blade teeth and it cut the fein blade in one cut BANG job done.

Really annoying I cant find it looked through LOADS of forums and websites nothing they all just keep coming up with fein blades types other brands and stuff.

I am pretty sure that there is a thread here about that machine.  I think that the cost is mentioned also in that thread.

I cheated. I remembered it was Belgian and something to do with flooring so searched on google.be in French. Took about an hour mind you! I should find something better to do with my time. [wink] I've mailed them to see if I can get any more info. No reply yet.
Came across loads of different blades - there are a whole load for window fitters and there's a guy in the US makes his own range specially for the supercut and multicut. I also learned there's a compressed air machine that works in the same way - used in garages.
I'll post if they ever get back (or I might give them a call.)
Regards,
Richard.

I `m sorry I didn`t see this thread earlier. (I did see JMB`s youtube vid on my phone :))

I remember calling the company for the price of the devo sawcut press, and I found it way too expensive to be interesting for me. If I recall correctly it was in the 500 to 600 euro- range, excluding Belgian VAT (21%) (I posted the exact price they quoted in the older thread)

A while later a link to this device was posted as a reply to a video from fein I posted on youtube once. I dont` remember the price exactly, but I think it was about 200 euro.

I like the way of "setting" the teeth better on the devo thing, but the press won't work on the bimetal blades. when I got the link to the sharpening device I had just got a new 25 pack of the bimetal blades, so I hadn`t ordered one, but I did stop throwing the worn/ruined blades away.,
(sorry for not including links to the websites and older threads but I had a few drinks and I`m posting this on a netbook whith a tiny resolution and a (for me) very annoying qwerty keyboard layout)

Thanks Frank- Jan.
Yes the Belgian gadget is expensive - I've just had a quote from them 535 euros ex vat. I think I'm going to try to buy the swiss job
Richard

which one is the swiss one. the drill attacment can be that dear. even the most expensive of sharpening  and cutting blades are less than 200 euros. .
i dont think id bother with the stand and mount it on my lathe so that i could use the tool rest with it. i wonder if you could mount it to some bearing system so that you could put a quick change addaptor on the end and use a cordless with it for on site work

Alan, that's a good idea about the lathe.  Now we just have to wait to see who comes up with a supplier & price  [big grin]

I think those are Swiss Franks, and according to the windows vista currency converter sidebar widget, 298 CHF equal 244,83 Euros or 204,20 GBP¨or 319,66 USD.

Hmm, seems a bit much for what it is.  You would need to sharpen a lot of blades for your mates to pay for that.  In the long term it may work out though.  I'm sure JMB will get one anyway  ;D

based on my quick maths. if you buy 10 packs of 44mm blades at 90 gbp +vat you would roughly pay for itsself in 20 blades. thats not a lot. if you looked after your blades you could only really be honing the edge or just touching it up your blades should last for ages before being too worn down to be used. i dont use my multimaster a lot (price of blades makes me use it as a last resort). i am seriously considering that thing.
i see that if you get 5 of them the price drops to 255 each(roughly 210 euros,260ish gbp). if we went together an bought 5 we would all save
