Would it be possible to make some kind of adapter to convert the oval shaped dust port of the OF1010 to round, were the hose slides into it like it does in a tracksaw or MFK700?
It is much easier to use the OF1400 dust port than the OF1010.
 
Making a physical adapter for this isn’t difficult, but anchoring it into the router is likely to be. Most 3D printer plastics are fairly rigid, so they can’t stretch and grip with friction like the vacuum hose end does on the 1010. There are flexible polymers you can print, but they’re notoriously difficult to work with and error-prone. It might be possible to arrive at a solution which uses a multi-material print with a flexible nose cone that wraps around the router outlet and a rigid connector for the hose outlet itself: this is essentially what Festool’s own hoses do.

I’ve got a 1010 myself, so this might be something I look into down the line. If I can come up with a working design, I’ll post it here.
 
Cypren, just slip a rubber sleeve (piece of bike tube, etc.) on the router receptacle to act as a cushion, and printed adapter over it. A set screw will work too.
 
But… but… I want to use my fancy electronic toys, not make a sensible solution with common household materials!

there is a soft, pliable filament available for 3D printers. I don't
know the name but I remember reading about it recently. If it
would work to make an adapter like you envision I also don't know.
 
The general category name is “thermoplastic elastomers” (TPE), of which thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is probably the most commonly used. Ninjaflex is a particular brand of TPU.

TPEs tend to be quite difficult to work with because they need high temperatures to print and have a great deal of trouble adhering to the printer bed. In addition, you have to be very careful with how you design parts for the print process, because their elastic nature makes them sag, twist and jiggle as the printer moves around. Getting good TPE prints usually requires either a very high-end printer with an extremely rigid, vibration-damped structure and a heated chamber, or a ton of fiddling with a lower-end printer, advance preparation of the bed, a room with controlled temperatures and a very slow print speed that carefully controls motion and potential for flex.

I have one.  Love it.  It even has the bayonet pieces inside, so you can twist to lock the hose.

I really wasn't expecting the plastic to grip well on the aluminum, but it does somehow.  A+, excellent piece.

No dice.  They're almost exactly the same size, so if you have anything that will fit the OD, you could probably use it as a coupler.
