eBay uk    A company called mts power tools are slightly over priced. Kapex set for £5547.60 what a joke

It's a common practice on eBay to raise the BIN (Buy It Now) price to something ridiculous when you run out of stock as opposed to ending the listing. That way, the metadata (such as number sold etc.) is kept, and the search rankings and orderings are maintained. When it comes back into stock, the seller will lower the price again. Saves on listing fees too.

Of course, if someone is stupid enough to buy it, they can always source product from someone else.

That's assuming in this case it's not just an honest mistake... ;-)

MTS Power Tools are FOG members I believe, but haven't been active for a couple of years. They are a well known Festool dealer though.

I noticed that too, I have used mts in the past earlier this year I got a cxs set for £180 inc vat and delivery a bargain.

They offered me a great service with great comms and next day delivery.

Regards
Leigh

luke:  You forgot to say that £4.95 for postage as well -  [big grin]

Went onto eBay, searched Festools, only looked at BIN - and there are plenty of other similarly priced Festools from MTS (gave up after counting 14 items.)
But...go to their website, and there's not that much you can buy; makes me think, maybe not now a Festool dealer.

Wonder what happened - what's going on.  Used to be quite a good place - although always thought bit strange to have two Festool dealers so close to each other (Axminster has big Festool display 'shop-in-shop' in Nuneaton - worth a visit if in that neck of the woods.)

Richard.
