I know "secrets are secret" but can somebody help?

I'm really looking forward to the launch of the TS60, here in the US. As I recall, it has been stated that it actually will happen. My question is when?
I am considering selling my current TS55 to the company where I work, to be used in the solid surface department. Mine is the older, corded, version with the thicker blades and riving knife. It has several Lietz blades that are specific to plastics like that.
The foreman is willing to buy them one. They bought a Makita a few weeks ago, but it was a disappointment, and was sent back. The track was not straight, so mating parts had a gappy fit.
Mine has always done well enough for seams directly from the saw, so they decided that the minimal cost difference was not worth the time to deal with it. I made the offer to sell them mine because I am thinking that the thicker (potentially stiffer) blades are better for that application. Absolute straightness is the most important factor.

If the TS 60 is going to be on some kind of "pre-order" type deal, like they sometimes do, a timeline would be nice to know. If it's going to be a month or so, I can share with them for a while. If it won't be until August or something, they will be looking at getting a new one, I can't share that well... [big grin]

I can't directly answer your question - but I can tell you that this just appeared on the UK website;

UK delivery on this 110v version is listed as May. I'm guessing that a US release will be shortly after that? Whatever - it seems like it's definitely on its way.

My guess and that's all it is, would be sometime around the August/September time frame. Festool isn't known for a fast rollout of new items. We still have to get through the release of the CTC Midi, a couple of different Energy Sets, the TCL 6 Duo and the KSC 60.

Toolnut usually has a tool preorder 2-4 months ahead of the product launch. Right now they are announcing the release of the CTC Midi but no preorder yet, so the TS 60 really is buried.

Sorry...

I too am looking forward to the ts6o. I have been thinking about getting rid of my makita for one. I dont do anything real critical with it so it works fine for the occasional cut.  The issue I have is no plugit cord. its the only tool I use with my ct on a semi regular basis that does not have a plugit cord so I have to make sure I have a separate cord for it. Most of the time I use it has been inside a finished space so the DC and cord are essential when I do use it.  Im also not thrilled with the makita to festool hose connection. It works but does pop out sometimes.  Does the TS6o have the cleantec dust port?  If festool screws around to long I may just 3d print a plugit and better port for the Makita. However, the ts6o is looking līke a nice saw and fixes my two biggest issues with the makita and is my only non festool systainer so another bonus. Either way I will keep my makita rails they are plenty straight enough for me and the rubber strip actually stays on...

I wonder how the anticipation of the release of TS60K would affect the recent announcement of pre-orders for the new TS75. As a previous owner of the TS75, I'd definitely go for the TS60 and not the TS55 or TS75 if I needed a tracksaw.

Yeah ChuckS, I see what you mean, at least a little, but I think that a guy who really needs the 75 is going to go that way. I sure could see it dipping into TS55 sales though, since they keep saying that it is in effectively the same size overall, weight too. I would think that the only determining factor might come down to the $$$ at that point. I guy who only cuts sheet goods, and might not really care about the extra depth, could possibly save a few bucks by going with the smaller unit.
Or maybe a guy who has a stack of blades that fit the 55 and needed to replace the saw only for some reason?

I’m really interested in the ts60 as well. I’m curious to see the pricing for the ts60 and the table saw. As far as I can tell they’ll share blades, really wish the ts60 would come in a cordless version. I’m sure it will before long. Festool seems to have a lot of interesting tools coming, if the cxs18 is close to as light as the current cxs I could see it being a huge hit

hi, just wondering where you saw the ts60 was going to come to North America.  when I contacted Festool USA and asked about the ts60 in early November 2022 this is the response i received (they may have changed their minds which would be great)

Thank you for contacting Festool. The TS60 is not available for purchase in the North American Market. Festool is a German company with world-wide distribution, not all tools and accessories are available in every market. The TS60 is not available in this market and at this time Festool has not announced any future plans to bring this tool to market. To stay informed of all Festool information you can sign up to the Festool newsletter below.

If what I heard was indeed wrong, I'm sure I can figure out a way to get one of those 110v Uk models here somehow. It might take some time, since they aren't even available there yet either, but I don't see why they wouldn't? If there was no 110v version, I get it.

Hehe. But for real; that response is just the template they have for a NAINA reply.

Sure, thanks for the calendar math.  That's why I asked whether there was an official announcement I'd missed. It seems like my info is still the most official...

FWIW the guy I get my stuff from said he's supposed to be getting some TS75s in March, but has heard absolutely nothing about the TS60.

If the UK market is getting them you would think they would send them here too at some point. Especially if it comes with a plug it cord. So easy to convert to US cord then. I can't imagine the 110v market over there being larger than ours.
Though maybe they want to see how it does 110v wise before they send it here?
