I have been building lounge chairs for a friend who has a B&B by the beach. Using treated wood, which after its bath in the nastiness they use is sopping wet, even after a few days outside. Sanding it smooth is a challenge with my other sander (Milwaukee rotary sander, 5"), so I had resorted to my electric planer until the cord had an unfortunate accident with the tool. Decided to take the plunge with the RO90, and used it today for the first time.
I like it! Made quick work of the wood, did not clog, no mess of nasty treated wood sawdust. The size was just perfect. My friends made fun of me and my $400 sander, but I think it was money well spent.
