Jonhilgen said:I'm going to spray paint a few thousand of these bad boys red and sell them for 50.00. They're one handed, and you can use them with your left or right hand! And all you need is a pencil (for an extra 10.00 bucks I'll throw one in).
It looks well made, and very nice, please don't get me wrong. Just a little overkill when a 3.00 compass scribe is faster, easier, and smarter...

This would be the "right-hand" model shown...Left-hand is a small additional charge. [big grin]

But it must be a fair price, the top of the page says "A Christian owned corporation"..... [blink]

No scribing brick or stone with this tool...

A simple compas will never beat scribing something like brick work in detail but to me this tool seems handy for scribing skirting and plinths etc where you are not wanting to go into to much detail scribing all you want is just a nice constant flow which is better with a wider base.

I understand that some people like shiny bits and expensive tools, but this one doesn't do it for me.
Deansocial said:1 of those carbide inserts screwed to a block of wood would work the same too if you need the scoring function, I think to many people need gadgets to do their job now when simple stuff works fine

I was thinking more like this... [poke]

btw, your brick scribing motivated me to do this with the tile. So where do I send the bill for the few hours of my life I won't get back?

Not trying to sound over simplistic, but a pencil taped to the top of a wooden block works just as well for those applications.
Its a nifty gizmo, but I don't think its worth $80, or even $10 for that matter.
