... on trying to land a deal of Festools through eBay. I've been watching and bidding on LR32's and DF500Q's since July. First of all, not many used come up - maybe 1 of each every couple of weeks. Second, they hold there value like nothing I've ever seen before - wondering if they're going to start appreciating in value!
For example, been bidding on a Domino DF500Q with small assortment of dominos in the Domino Assortment Systainer. Priced it all out on Bob Marino's website and it equated to $982.50 + $0.00 S&H. This price is likely a bit high because the assortment of dominos is probably more robust in this estimate that what came with the machine of eBay. The same setup on eBay (claimed to be used for one project but none-the-less still a used machine and not from a reputable dealer) just sold for $910 + $18.50 S&H = $928.50. So, a savings of $54. Furthermore, the sale didn't include a 30 day money back guarantee, etc.
This same story keeps unfolding every time I try to bid on something Festool.
