I received an email from Wood Magazine last week saying they needed me to verify my contact information because I had won a sweepstakes. Being a cautious person a called over there to verify this wasn't a spam or anything and they told me, no joke, I won a Rotex 150 in the "One-Stop Wood Prep Sweepstakes" sponsored by Wood Magazine and Woodcraft! How cool is that? 8)

I've been reading Wood magazine for years and this is the first time I've ever won a contest from a magazine. That it's for something useful makes it even better. Not sure exactly what I'll use the rotex for, my ETS 150 seems to work quite well for most of my needs (which was why I chose it) but it opens up some interesting options for polishing and it'll make planer marks go away faster :)

Anyway, hopefully I'll get it in the next week or two so I can put up my impressions of it compared to the ETS150/3. Can't wait to have it in hand.

I'm pleased for you ... But it sucks that I didn't win it instead  [big grin]

You'll love it ... Put a nasty grit on the ROTEX - and wear a seatbelt, you're in fo a surprise!

Congrats!  You even have the correct size paper already.  Don't worry, you will find many uses for your new toy.

Congratulations, Jim. It's about time someone on the FOG won something from one of these sweepstakes...  [big grin] Enjoy your new Rotex. Looking forward to your review.

Now if only someone on FOG would win some of the Festool give aways (hint hint ME!!! hint hint)

Congratulations Jim!

Cool to have living proof that some is sometimes lucky  [big grin]

I use the RO150 to get rid of planer marks all the time. Doe sit right quick. That will be a nice compliment to the ETS150/3.

Happy sanding  [big grin]

Congratulations Jim on having one more great toy.  Now you have to decide which one to use or double your sanding projects [wink]

Congrats, Jim...that is awesome!  The Rotex is one sweet machine -- I am sure you will enjoy using it -- I love using mine.  Even though the ETS fits most of your needs, sanding goes to another level when you can attack the board with the Rotex first for the initial prep and then move to the ETS.  It is a great combination.
