I have a small foam insert that was part of the hkc55 or drill/driver systainer.  They are both foam so it has to come from one of them.
Don't know which one or what fits in it.  Any suggestions on which one it goes to and what it is for.

Google search for the number seems to suggest it is for the HKC. Is it a small block with a 'U' shaped cutout?  If so it attaches to the lid and closes on the saw handle.

Picture?

I wouldn't say my search was 100% conclusive. It came up with two German store sites that had that number coupled to the HKC in the search results. When following the links I was only taken to the store site not a product page.

I pulled the foam carefully out of the lid of my HKC 55. It's stamped with 705428, so that should help confirm Seth's search.  [big grin]

Thanks Squall_line.  I have some older tools I bought used.  It is frequent to get no results back from a search if it has been a while since the tool or accessory was sold.

The foam parts aren't sold separately, as far as I know. I recently inquired about the foam part that holds the TS 55 (R) down in the Systainer.... the inlay is sold separately... the foam isn't. Grrreat  [sad]

I got one of the foam lid pieces shipped to me from FestoolUSA when the TS55 I purchased arrived with a broken piece.  It was free to me because it came from Festool originally, but I could have paid for it if it had been my fault.

Does Festool EU not offer such a service?

(I actually still have a spare lid foam for a TS55, but I have a feeling that shipping it to the Netherlands would be significantly cost-inefficient)

Shipping anything across the Atlantic is insanely priced whereass the Chinese somehow manage to ship stuff for next to nothing to either of our countries.

I still didn't figure out the exact amount of different TS 55 (R) inlays there are I think  [tongue]

I read somewhere that the Chinese Government subsides shipping for exported products.

Yeah and they get a discount on international post as "developing nation".

Isn’t the foam piece for the TS55 part no. 708868?
http://www.powertool-supplies.co.uk/cover-foam-sys-ts-55-r.html

And is that the foam for the T-Loc Systainer? And with what inlay does it combine with? And how does the saw then sit in the Systainer?

And why on earth did Festool tell me by mail "the lid foam isn't sold separately"  [huh]. I couldn't find it in EKAT either.

I can’t answer any of your questions really. For £2.10 I think I’d just buy it to see if it was the one I wanted. If it’s not, you could use it as an ultra-light racing paperweight.
