We could see that right off -- even the whole chips were about 1/5 the size of a normal chocolate chip, they were Micro-chips (pun intended  [smile]).  But we counted each and every bit of chocolate as a whole chip and it was still way short of the target 100 chips.  [sad]

i would have cheaked the replacment package just to spite them

I'm quite sure all the packages were about the same with way too few chips per cookie -- it had to be just somebody's advertising brainstorm.  After all, WHO would ever sit and count the chips per cookie???

My add to Bob's list is that hot-dog makers and bun makers need to get together and sell ether 8 or 10 units per package. No more 10 hot-dogs and only 8 buns.

That way its still ok as there is always someone who wants two wieners in a bun, but its infuriating the other way with 10 buns and 8 wieners since you more often than not end up trashing the extra two buns.

What happened to the metric system?  [big grin]

I guess the TS55 would have to be renamed the TS2.16535  [tongue]

Metric? Who knows if or when we will ever embrace that here.

Bob

Metric indeed. If I were King the first thing that would go is Imperial units.

Under my regime we would be using SI units.

1. Ice cream would be sold in 1/4 liter, 1/2 liter, liter and 2 liters only. No more of the 400ml containers posing as 1/2 liters!
2. Coffee 1/4 kilo, 1/2 kilo and 1 kilo only, not the 400 gm (and shrinking) bags or cans.
3. Same with laundry detergents, soaps, Gatorade, etc. - full kilos, liters or half liters.
4. Candy bars - what's with the 67 gm sizes?  By 25 gm increments only!
5. Dunkin' Donuts would go back to their original heart clogging, fat laded size of years ago.
6. Cookies - not only have sizes shrunk for each cookie, but the weights are as above. Sorry 100 gram increments only.
7. Lumber sizes would be ACTUAL, not nominal! 2X4 would be 4x8 cm.

Note: 2 liter soda bottles are already in full compliance!

A few moons ago, i was driving past a new car dealership.
Every car had a sign on the windshield showing $1000/1200/1500 etc.  The only note was that number on each car.
With tongue in cheek, i stormed into the showroom and demanded the salesman write up a sale immediately for me.
I told him i had $1200 in cash and was ready to drive the car home that had that number displayed.
The sales man insisted the numbers displayed were the discounts available.
"No way." I argued.  "You show a price of $1200 for that car and prices of as low as $1000 to as much as $1500.  I want the $1200 dollar one."
We continued argueing and I was having a hard time to keep a serious attitude, as the salesman was really squirming.  Finally, I demanded to see the manager and the arguement started all over again.  Finally, I told him i was going to the bank right away and they had better have the car prepped and ready to roll by the time i got back.  A half hour later, I returned.

Every car had "Huge Discount" added to each number displayed.  I got a good laugh out of that and never went back.
