I'm a sucker. I have a fairly new Hitachi with a very nice Freud blade that really doesn't need to be replaced (anybody want a slightly used Hitachi?).
I'm loving the Festool "system", and the Hitachi is a great saw, short of the dust collection. It's OK, but not what I saw (pun?) from the demo I did at a local dealer of the Kapex.
Bob Marino insures me that he tests the spring plate of every saw he sells before it goes out, so I'm fairly confident that it will be ok, and I am 100% confident that if its not, it will be rectified.
Yes, this is a buttload of money for a SMCS, but I don't own a $2k cabinet saw, so I'm (almost) ok with the price tag.
Wish me luck.
