I remember that Incra made a one time tool that folks liked using with Festool and i believe is was on the MFT.

Is that the one they have listed again, the Carpenters square, or something else? I was hoping to get one when they came up for sale again.

Thanks, that is what I thought.

What size do folks find most useful with the MFT and or Festool Rails?

Carbide Processors looks like the way to go.  Their website does show free shipping on orders over $150.  I already ordered from Woodpeckers, and will pay around $15 for shipping.

I'm just glad it is on order.  I've been on their email notification list for quite some time, waiting for the framing squares to go back into production as a One Time Tool.

Thanks for mentioning this!  I've been wanting one of these for some time now and seem to always miss them when they are available.

Cheers.

I'll be interested in the response to this question, I was thinking the 18"/450mm would do be long enough, but I'm not sure.

I have multiple Woodpeckers rules and one of them would be fine for checking alignment ("straightness"). I am just so tired of using a regular framing square to mark 90s, and wondering if it is still at a perfect 90 degrees every time I use it -- did it get bumped out of square?

I decided I wanted the best/biggest square I could get, and also one that can be put up against the edge of a panel, and not have to let it drape over the edge to make sure it is flush. I ordered the 26" model.

I wanted to buy both, with the case, but with a vacation to Europe and a daughter's wedding coming up, I went with just the larger square.  I had to hide this purchase from my wife, and kind of thankful it will be awhile before it arrives ...  ;)  I promised I'd hold off on "extravagant" purchases.  Now I see this as a necessity, and not an extravagance.  For some reason she views the world differently than I do.

I have their 18" triangle and it works great for aligning the rail on the MFT.  I also have the 12" worked ok, but the 18" is much better

I have used the Lee Valley framing square for a long time to set my table and my saws. I did have to reset it after a nasty drop. Seems fine now tested over the 24 inch leg.  BW

I use mine to square my rail to sheet goods , used it tonight in fact. Much more accurate than the Festool adjustable one.
