Increasing boom arm hose size??

I was looking at buying a Festool boom arm but all I can find says to use a 27mm hose.  Has anyone tried using a 36mm hose and attached it to the boom arm brackets?  If not, will a 27mm hose be sufficient when using a Domino 700xl or a TS75 tracksaw?  I will use it on a CT33.
 
The boom arm have can use either the 27mm or 36mm hose.  I have mine set up with two hoses (27mm and 36mm), I used a mixture of the supplied brackets and velcro.    Works fine for me.   

I do need to connect the appropriate hose to the 50mm hose extension that comes with the boom arm.

The D27 hose is sufficient for the Domino 700 and the TS75.

From my own experience-------- Dust collection will be improved  slightly  by using the D36 on the TS75.  The D36 makes a bigger difference when using the Panther blade.

I used my boom arm with both 36mm and 27mm hoses mounted on the arm for a couple of years. I used rubber wraps to secure the 36mm to the arm. I believe you do get slightly more suction with the 36mm hose for some tools but, for me, it wasn't worth it. The additional hose was always getting in the way. The 36mm hose isn't flexible enough for many applications; difficult to use with sanders, the Domino, routers, actually almost all tools except when you are actually vacuuming the floor. I tried a 27mm connection to the 36mm tools for these smaller tools, but that was inconvenient.

I finally took the 36mm hose off the boom arm. Now, when I want a larger hose for clean up, I just connect it to the inlet to the vacuum. The 27mm hose is sufficient for all tools really.

I did invest in a sheathed hose to contain the cord in the same cover as the hose. That works well, keeping the cord out of your way. I think Festool has an upgraded version of this hose and there have been various posts about sheathing you can buy to make your own sheath for the cord and hose.
 
This is what I ended up doing.  I used a 6' section of a 36mm hose (I had leftover from shortening the hose on my Kapex) and ran it on the boom. 
To the 6" of 36mm hose hanging  past the boom, I added a spare 27mm hose about 5' long. 
Finally I used a hose sheath to cover the 36mm and 27mm hose along with the electrical cord.
The improvement could be marginal but it should help reduce overall pressure drop.
