For those that aren't on Facebook or don't follow The Wood Whisperer, there's a really cool and interesting article on gizmodo about wooden ladders & the SFFD. Definitely worth a read.

Wow.  That entire article is a perfect example of government bureaucracies turning into nothing more than a cushy jobs program with an endless appetite for more tax dollars.

The city could probably save millions by getting rid of that junk pile and donut lacquering facility.
