Is Festool arrogant?

If you have to post on a forum within a particular time, for any feedback you might have to be legitimate, then it should be in the 'fine print'. First thing people do is comment on how long a poster has been registered and how many posts. Some are happy to just watch, not participate. Has no bearing on the complaint.

Didn't think it would take long for people to turn this into a 'look how big my stack is'.

Are Festool arrogant? - no, I don't think they are. Not at all. All my dealings have been fine, service has been great.

Let's face it, the subject title of the topic is asking for a confrontation on a Festool owners group board. A more productive subject title would have been "Need help getting a metric scale".

To the die hard Festool fans here that title may as well have been an insult to a family member.

^Indeed^
And the OP could request that the title be changed if he choose to do so.

Even though I am comfortable with the metric system, I can empathise with his request.
In the context of his feelings, the thread was guaranteed to get attention, so it worked.  [wink]

This is the Imperial sticker that came with my TSC 55. It's yours if you want it. Send me a PM with your address and I'll get it out to you USPS right away. I don't use the sticker or the scale for that matter so this will not be used by me.

If you do not want me to have your address contact Peter, Seth or Brent with your request. I'll send it to one of them, they can get it to you (unless they would prefer not to be involved in this, I offered them, but did not ask them).

Now that's what I like about this forum!

Good guys on this list.  I shouldn't be surprised as I can't remember meeting a contractor I didn't like.

Tom is sending an imperial scale that he doesn't need.  Won't take any cash.  Very gracious of him.

Thanks for the positive comments.

I don't know what percentage I'm in, but I've charged enough Festools to my Cabela's Visa over the past 5 years that I have enough points for a new deer rifle.  [eek]

I've never seen a deer holding a rifle ... I'd like to see that.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Hopefully by now the OP and Festool have gotten together about the sticker.

Rather than have this thread fester I am locking it.

If the OP has a future report on this I urge him to contact either Seth or myself and we will unlock the thread.
