Is the Festool warrantee transferable?

Since we're on the subject, how does Festool keep track of the warranty?  Do retailers provide the serial number and purchaser info to Festool upon sale?  I've never registered any of my Festools.  Does Festool know which ones I have and when they were purchased?

Dealers register the tools for you, so yes Festool should have your list of tools.

We know everything about you.  [huh]

Like Brice stated, your dealer is responsible for registering tools on your behalf. Even in the event that they fail to do that for some reason, we have ways to track it. However, it's stated in our warranty that you may be required to provide proof of purchase for warranty service. So, always a good idea to retain receipts.

Shane,

I received a CSX as a gift. How do I go about registering it in my name?

Tom, send me an email or PM with your name, address, phone and serial #. I'll see that it's entered into our systems.
