Is the grey on Classic Systainer's different than T-LOC's?

I just put a T-LOC on top of a classic, and the greys are very different. Are the two systainers different colors, or is this because the classic is older and has 'mellowed'?

They were exactly the same colour originally, but indeed, older ones discolour over time. That's what ABS plastic does under the influence of sunlight/UV rays. The more time a systainer spends in direct sunlight, the quicker it turns yellow.

I have some old classics which are a terrible colour now, does anyone know if the darker colour systainers age better?

I have received some systainers (old and new type) that had color issues. More so on the older ones.

Here ya go, both have been kept indoors in a basement shop. The Classic is circa 2006, the T-Loc circa 2014. I can't see any difference in color.

Absolutely Tom, it's the UV that kills plastic. That's why they introduce carbon black into the mixture. It retards the UV degradation. Unfortunately, the mixing of carbon black and natural resin does not produce a "white/light" product. It's probably why the standard fare offered by Tanos is a charcoal grey. It will stand up better to UV than white polymer. It's all about chemistry.
