I had a mft style top cnc'd at Sears Trostel in Fort Collins last year.
...

I've heard that Sears Trostel is a good place to checkout for hardwoods, but never been there. Worth the drive up?
...

Sears Trostel is a great place if you live in NoCo.
*  They often have unusual species in stock.  For custom wholesale orders, they will sometimes order extra for the retail store.
    - So what they have in stock depends...
*  They have a retail yard on Riverside Dr.  You can select boards there.
*  They have a wholesale / custom molding facility north of Hwy 14 east of downtown Fort Collins.  No selecting boards there.
*  They carry a fair amount of Festool.
*  They promote woodworking in the community with fun events.
    -  They hold a woodworking show every year in late winter or early spring - open to all.  The 2019 date is not set yet.
    -  They do a breadboard fundraiser every year to raise money for the local food bank.

If you're in the area anyway and have an hour to kill, I'd definitely stop in and spend some time in the retail shop talking to them to get a feel for what they are about.  Then you could decide if it's worth the drive up for particular needs.

For many years Sears Trostel was the only game in NoCo for hardwoods.  Now there is a Woodcraft at the Crossroads exit north of Loveland, and Wayne (owner) keeps a better selection of hardwoods than the other Woodcraft stores I've visited.  Since I'm much closer to Woodcraft, I do most of my buying there now, but I still make it up to Sears Trostel when I can.

Unless you need a specific large size, I actually bought replacement MFT tops from Amazon.  I got two that were from Amazon Warehouse with "slight cosmetic damage".  Yes, there was a ding in the edge.  What did you think was going to happen when it was in my shop?  If it had upset me, 1/4" removed from the edge would have fixed that right up.  I called CNC shops in the area and couldn't find one who I trusted to do it and I didn't really want to go to someone's house (Though, that guy might have been better quality than a "factory").  So buying a larger MFT top worked well for me and I've been enjoying vs routing holes.  $100 and done.

I just made my own using a 3D printed jig and it came out alright but not great. I have access to a few CNC routers around town and might pull the trigger on making one so if I do I'll be sure to post here if there is interest in making a few. Sounds like others have listed some good options already though that might be more time efficient. I could definitely help with the CAD side if needed.

It is old post , but curious have you made MFT top using CNC?

I did end up making one... although a bit different than a standard festool MFT:

I need to build an outfeed table for my table saw asap and really want to use a MFT style top...absolutely love my MFT's functionality and want a bigger one that can double as an assembly table. I've been thinking about buying the MF slab CAD file, but would also be fine with just a bigger version of the stock MFT top. I've read to use 3/4 MDF so the Festool clamps work, but also have seen guys using 1"? Is that to prevent sag? Is there any difference between Home Depot MDF and the MDF from my hardwood dealer like there is with plywood? (I've only bought one piece of mdf to make a planer-sled and have never worked with it)

I'm about 10 minutes north of Boulder...does anyone know a place that could CNC a top for me? There's a maker-space in my area that has the equipment, but I think I'd have to join and then learn how to use the CNC router....would prefer to pay to get the holes routed for me and get this build-up finished. How much should I expect to pay a CNC shop? Anyone in the area want one too to possibly save on cost?

Thanks for any suggestions.
