I hope this is an appropriate place to put this...

I rarely glue my shop cabinets as I have a habit of modifying or cannibalizing them for other projects. I use dominos and pocket screws for assembly, this works well for my needs. I decided to make a little jig to make measuring for the dominos and pocket screws easier, quicker, and more convenient. The crude wooden one in pics 3 and 4 is my first prototype, it worked but really wasn't reversible for the left or right edge of the panel. However, this was a great way to try out the concept. The second one, with the polycarbonate and maple, works on either side of the panel. As I was finishing this up I realized that I could add some markings perpendicular to the wood to allow marking a panel in the middle of a long edge should that be necessary. Perhaps I'll add some more features and sell the idea to Woodpeckers in exchange for a lifetime supply of their one time tools. Think they'll bite?

Interesting concept.  Thanks for sharing.

I'm guessing you usually just put dominos and pocket screws at the edges and not so much in the middle of the panels.  WOuld this be a correct assumption?

Yes, that is a correct assumption. I am thinking about modifying it to work in the middle of the panel. However, since this is being used for wall and base cabinets I don't really see a need. Most of the sides are less than 24" and the backs will add stiffness and stability.
