I was not as clear in my previous post as I should have been. In my experience the worst part about the poor blade visibility of the Trion is not following the line (as Scot said the pointer is helpful) but knowing when to stop, knowing exactly where the blade is to avoid over cutting a stopped cut. Most of my use with a jigsaw seems to include stopped cuts (as opposed to through cuts) and I am always guessing at the blades exact location. I have over cut by just a bit way too many times.
I live in Kenora Ontario and if the OP is still wants a Trion, and doesn't mind a lightly used one perhaps we could stike a deal...
