I am building a 3’ x 6’ outdoor gate using Massaranduba wood.  I will be using 2x4s for the gate frame and 1 x 6 for the face.  I need advice on which joint would be best for the gate frame: Domino 10 x 50mm sipo ( I have Domino 500 and would use G Flex 650 for glue up), pocket screws, drilling completely through one 2 x4 into the next or  a combination of the above.  I will only be dressing the front of the gate so this is why I picked Massaranduba 2 x 4s for the frame.  I am concerned about the gate sagging because it will weigh roughly 125 pounds or so.  I plan to use 4 hinges with total weight capacity of 300 pounds.  Also, when constructing the frame should the rails be on top of the stiles or the rails on the inside of the stiles.  It would seem rails on top of stiles would be stronger.  To take pressure off the 4 corner joints I would add a diagonal brace to each corner.  Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Example of gate frame except no center stile but would add center rail for gate lock

Hi

The rails need to be inside the stiles . And the cross brace needs to run from the bottom of the hinge side to the top ..or from bottom of hinge side to mid .then mid to top ..
And if you are going to face fix the slats on the front .that will be really strong

I've had success putting the cross piece from the bottom of the hinge side to the opposite corner. As far as sag my first concern is the stability of the hinge post
