The Bloke bought the summer house and had it put up by the company but he hated the Felt Roof.   So we had to remove the felt and then batten it and put Shingles on it it.   My opinion its a little out of place the summer house he should of had something more like log cabin to match the rest.    Oh well at least the shingles on the roof blend in with it environment which was was my job so thats all what matters  lol

is this the 12" facia? it looks terrible, did you forget your ts55? [tongue]

Cheers.

Umm at first it was frustrating I used it and all I could do was make squares and circles lol I then closed it and left it for a bit couple says later I thought I have a other go on sketch up  and I made some cubes and messed around with them like removing a line adding lines removing panels. I then noticed at the bottom right the sizes of the objects where displayed so decided to see if I could type in a size and hey presto your object would automatically adjust to the measurement you entered.

So bit by bit I Learned a few things enough to make something with the aid of importing other peoples designs.  I hate watching tutorials boring I much rather learn my self i remember it better.  Looking at other peoples sketch up helps because I was looking at one and I was thinking how did he get the wood grain running the same way as with my sketch ups it was running all different ways on each object so I released it could be done so I starting clicking around to figure out how to adjust grain direction and size.

Nice work JMB, and for the possible entry way covering at that door, it looks like you're building a Church Arch after all even though you didn't take that last job from the Vicar!  [wink]

lol cheers!

Only thing is they cant make up their mind if it should be painted or exposed wood and then what colour it should be.      Im kinda thinking painted mainly because nothing around on the garage grannie flat house and the main house which is not shown on any of the above pictures have wood.  The conservatory is painted on the main house sooo I think if it was stained wood I think it might look out of place.
