Just a simple roof I did not long ago. Rafters with a steel ridge.
When I turned up the steels where in place! I suggested to move the steel back and up so that it was out off the way! As the pitch is 27degree I think I couldnt go any higher as planning wouldnt let me go any higher I am couple mm below the max height with ridge tiles on! Few!!!
Well any way I was told the steel is staying where it is so I said what do you want to do with the facia and soffit then to cover the steel he said we will get to then when it comes to it just get the roof on!! So I did!
After the roof was done He said he had measured it up and it needs a 12 inch fascia so he said he was going to get 12 inch facia! I laughed and said that would look ridicules!! He said well thats what going to happen I said it would look rubbish. Any way the client came up and asked what was going to hide the steel the builder told him and the client was a little iffy with the idea the builder said well thats how it has to be!
Well the client turned to me and said what would you do! I said I wouldnt use 12inch facia it will look rubbish! The client said well ill go with what ever you think will look best and thats final and walked off! So....
The builder asked me what I needed and wanted then!
I told him I wanted the middle pillar building up in front of the steel more so to divide the two garage doors for the secondary facia/soffit. I then said I needed 2 x 6''1/2 inch facia instead split the difference!
Here is just a picture of how it is at the moment! sorry I have not got any pictures of the job before hand. Ill take another picture of the secondary facia as the garage doors have been fitted Wednesday. So going back on monday to finish of the kitchen and other little jobs and fit the facia.
