Just wanted to make a quick introduction before i start participating more on the forums. My name is Joe, I am a hobbyist woodworker part time and in sales for one largest suppliers to the cabinet and woodworking industry on the east coast, selling plywood, lumber, finishes, fasteners, hardware etc etc to mostly commercial and residential cabinet makers. We sell Festool but tools in general are not a big part of our business.
My "hobby" is mostly furniture for myself and family and i have built and sold pet furniture online, mostly small dog beds, for about 10 years or so, I have not done that for a couple years now but I look forward to getting back into that again soon.
My shop is small, it's about 16' x 16' but works good for the scale i build on. I have always had "cheaper" tools, sears & harbor freight for the most part for years, UNTIL my company took on the Festool line and I realized the benefit of a true quality tool, I am now slowly revamping my whole shop. I currently have a Kapex , ets 125 sander, ts55 plunge saw, of1400 router, ct26e extractor and my new favorite tool of all the Domino. I have also upgraded to a Wurth (Fasco) 23 gauge pin nailer, CA Technologies Jaguar JSLP HVLP spray gun, CA TECH techline JR glaze HVLP, RIDGID 10" professional table saw, dewalt 12-1/2" planer and freud jigsaw.
My wishlist includes upgrading my shop to 220V power, better/larger air compressor than my current harbor freight model, replace my harbor freight 18 gauge brad nailer with a Wurth/FASCO model, replace my black and decker cordless drills with Festool brand, and an addition, maybe another 10 x16, to my shop.
I have done alot of reading here, a ton of great info and talented people sharing a ton of knowledge and great ideas, I look forward to contributing in anyway I can while I continue to soak in the free advice and ideas here, thanks in advance!
