Just bought an Nissan NV200!

Im trading in my NV2500 on Tuesday. Downsizing!!! will be quite a change but i cant wait for the challenge. will be making my own shelf's to house all my systainers and to be able to utilize every sq. inch of the cargo area. should be a challenging and fun project!

Didn't you just recently get the 2500?  I'll be interested to see how it all fits!  At least the 4 cylinder should yield you better EPA than the 2500!

Interested to see how this turns out.  I'm looking at the new transit connect, since I don't really need to transport sheet goods anymore.  The nv200 intrigues me as well.  I'm sick of getting 15mpg, but then I'm pretty close to paying off my truck...

Nope! I was actually the first in the country to take delivery of the NV back in 2011. Lease was up in june, i had a ton of equity in the van (go figure) so i rolled it into the NV200 so my payments are dirt cheap!  [big grin] plus my fuel bill is going to be pretty much cut in half. Since moving everything over to systainers i just dont need the full sized van anymore. im sure there will be 1 or 2 times a year when ill miss it but it will suit me for 99% of the jobs im doing. If i need to haul large stuff i could always just have it drop shipped to the clients house or rent a van for a day!

that was my original intent was to downsize into the new transit connect. It is such a great little ride, so much pep and the six speed transmission is awesome but i just couldn't justify the 6 grand premium ford is asking for a comparably equipped transit connect. I would of loved to of got one but in reality it is my business vehicle and it needs to get me and my tools to my clients house and 6k is alot when your looking at the numbers especially at the end of the term. I can accept driving around a goofy looking van by saving that much. The more I dug into it I realized even though the LWB TC is slightly bigger the door openings are bigger and more square on the NV200. one thing though is the ford TC gets considerably better gas millage then the NV200 due to the transmission!

The only thing that has me concerned on the 200 is the CVT transmission, hopefully i can get used to it.

I take delivery Tuesday! depending on how nice it is i might start diving right into the build out!

In the context of small euro style vans, Chevrolet just announced that they are entering the market in a joint venture with Nissan.  The small van will compete with the Connect and will carry the Chevy badge.  The front end looks so much different than the platypus (to me) look.

Yup, Its the identical van except with a different front bumper and Chevy logos. Personally i feel this will be a huge mistake for both Nissan and Chevy.

I would love to have the diesel version of the NV200 or the Transit Connect. The Ford gut says the diesel versions don't sell in the US. He's 100% correct since you can't buy something that isn't available! [mad] Guess that's why the VW TDIs stack up in dealer lots. NOT!!!! [big grin]
