My Recon Kapex60 came yesterday.  It’s definitely not a replacement for my 120 but the size and weight will be great for smaller jobs.

Where is a video on how to Bluetooth connect I’m assuming the Kapex60 to a vac?  I have two older MIDI a 2017 36AC and a year old MIDI.  Batteries have a mixed match set but have two new 5.0 sets that came in the systainer and charger.

I briefly looked online this morning but couldn’t find anything. Must be getting old.

Thanks

Technically Challenged Festool User.

With Festool, You do not pair the tool but the battery.

So you need a Bluetooth battery for the pairing.

The procedure is simple otherwise - push the "pairing" button on the vac and then turn on the tool. If the vac turns on the pairing is done. When you need a different battery paired, do the same with it and it will "replace" the old pairing.

Thanks.  Since the Kapex 60 has two batteries I assume either one will pair.  If you remove the battery, charge it then re install will I need to re pair the battery?

Did not check that. The BT batteries send out a signal regardless - the pairing is to ensure the vac acts on it so it is stored on the vac I believe.

Just play around. Maybe one comment - if you have some of the drills, they - by default - do not turn the vac on when an already paired battery is inserted in them. It needs to be re-paired in the drill. I believe this is to prevent accidental triggering of vacs when moving a paired battery to a drill. Confused me the first time. (I wanted it to turn on the vac then).

Great. Will need to dig through my dozen plus batteries to see which ones are Bluetooth. Probably spray paint them so I don’t grab the wrong one and get angry.

Is there a spot to store the angle finder on the saw?  It was late but couldn’t figure that out either.

Angle finder is stored on a recess at the back of the saw.

For the batteries, I believe it's the bottom/rear one that controls BlueTooth.

It’s the top battery that controls the Bluetooth function on the KSC60.

Thanks will try and look at it tomorrow. I had a bunch of crap wood I needed to cut up so used my POS 120.
