Kapex Ball Valve Blast Gate

I run dust collection from my Jet dust collector, which also services a couple other tools in my shop. So Here's a cool way for $3 to create a blast gate right on the tool.
Ball valve, from home depot. Sprayed it black in the open position so I have two white tick marks when I have it open?small detail, but it helps me remember if its open or closed.

Hi there!
I have an Oneida central system in my shop and I once tried to reduce the 4" flex line down to 2 1/2" to use the system for the same purpose you are.
Total failure!! The air velocity is to low to overcome the static pressure in the smaller line which is made even worse when it hits the adapter at the saw.
Did you do something clever to overcome this? I have had no problems using the CT-33 with the 36mm hose connected directly to the saw. Not to mention the tool triggering to turn the CT on and off.
