As I continue to reflect on my workshop and the need for changes, the thought of a cutting bench with a Kapex is starting to look like a good idea.

It is likely that the bench may be built before the Kapex even starts its journey down the production line. So what is the foot print of the Kapex legs and perimeter and what is the cutting bed height?

Many thanks.

I don't have my Kapex near me, so I can't give you measurements right now ... I'm only responding to smirk at the inevitability of the Kapex purchase [big grin]

Thanks for the smirk Kev, brought a laugh.

You could say I am  future-proofing!!

Now if you get any time - no rush!

Thanks

Here's my stab at some dimensions ...

Height of the cutting surface is 112mm, exactly the same as a sys1 Systainer.

The base is 610mm wide and 410mm deep.

You need to leave 180mm from the back of the base to the "wall" for the back of the saw and provision for it to swing ,,, 200mm would be better.

From the top of the cutting surface to the top of the saw is 545mm - allow at least 100mm above that again if you're placing shelves or cupboards above.

From the from of the base to the tip of the handle in the straight out position is about 185mm.

Swung to the left the handle protrudes 30mm beyond the width of the base, to the right it's 65mm.

The saw is sitting right behind my desk, so let me know if there are other dimensions you need.

Kev.
