Kapex dust extraction - alternative hose options?

I have a KS120, and a CTL MIDI.

I don't have a 36mm hose and begrudge spending £150 on one...

Has anyone managed to come up with a more reasonably priced solution? I don't need it to be as flexible etc as the Festool hoses that I use for the rotex/ets/domino, obviously I want it to be larger than the D27 hose - ideally 35-38mm. I was wondering if there is a hose that might fit, or if anyone has found any 3D printed parts they find works?

Thanks in advance.

Something like this?

I don't have a 3D printer but I have a guy I use who lives 5 mins from me who I use. If you would be willing to share your adapter with me that would be great!

Does it plug in to the MIDI and then the KS120?

Thanks

This is what I came up with. I've got it on my FLEX dust extractor. I also have a MIDI and will try it on there to be sure. If everything checks out I'll post it on Printables, but won't have time until tomorrow night.

Yes, that hose you linked would work fine.

I currently use a flexible hose from Rockler (may not be available in your geography but similar is likely available from vendors in your country) that has a "standard" size on the extractor side and I use one of their adapters to interface with the Kapex. It's in the 35mm range and seems to work well. Something like what M&S posted would be a good "make it up" solution for sure.

Thanks all for your replies.I have found some 38mm hose from Charnwood and I think that will work well if I can get adapters for both ends. @M&Swoodshop it would be great if you are able to share the Kapex end fitting which is the one which I am unsure about - it has what looks like a male bayonet fitting which I assume you have designed your connector around

Thankyou very much for this.

I will definitely use the bayonet Festool end, will get some 38mm hose to use it with. I see that limiting the hose length to <2m is important.

Separately, did the vac end fit your Festool extractor?
