Kapex Grinding Problem

Recently my Kapex started grinding against the stainless bevel gague and is difficult to move when I move the handle left or right to make horizontal bevel cuts. I notice scraping marks along the bevel gague on both the front and back side. I can see the small metal piece that fits into the detents and it barely clears the detent. there also seems to be a top and bottom guide that rides on the rear edge of the bevel gague.
My owners manual makes no mention of this issue or how to make adjust to resolve this problem.
Has anyone dealt with this problem? My Kapex sits permaneent on a bencch and never gets moved around or treated rough.
Thanks for any assistance...
Greg

I would suggest that you give Festool a call tomorrow to discuss this.  You can find the number for service either on the label on your saw or at www.festoolusa.com.

I had this problem on my first kapex from the moment I unboxed the machine. I swapped for a replacement although i never found out what caused it

I emailed my help request to festool service twice and left a voice email also concerning my Kapex problem. No response or returned call yet... [sad]

This seems to be the second time in a week I read about zero response. Is that a standing pattern? Someone in Festool should look into it; relying on TylerC to get connected to the service/repair team isn't fair to him or us customers. No reply is worse than an auto-reply.
