The Kapex is the first saw I've owned that has a laser. So I'm not sure what the accuracy of the laser should be. The right laser required a little more than 1/16 inch lateral adjustment right out of the box. The left laser was right on. This was with 0 degree bevel.
I had to adjust the tilt on both lasers to get them close to the kerf when at 45 degrees bevel. This adjustment then affected the 0-degree bevel alignment. So I went back and forth with the bevel angles and the lateral and tilt adjustments to get the best 45 bevel accuracy I could while keeping the highest 0 degree bevel alignment.
My question is: How accurate should I expect the lasers to be when I place the saw at a 45 degree bevel?
