Thanks To Steve with Festool here's the starting point.
(1) Remove the lens.
(2) On the left & right LATERAL screws run them all the way in.
(3)Next on the left side back the screw out 6 full turns,
(4) on the right side back the lateral screw out 2 full turns
(5) you will not need to turn the lateral screws any more) Replace the lens after clenaning
(6) go to the Tilt screw and adjust for brightness & sharpness.
(7) Go to the Yaw screw ajust for alignment.
Steps 1-5 are the missing links.
I hope this helps:Cliff(SC)
Are you sure about this? I just did this and I wish that I hadn't...
Finally got my lasers back in line. Note to self: leave well enough alone [doh]
There are several threads going right now where people are having problems with various tools because they haven't read the
Supplemental Manuals. I try to avoid pointing this out because it sounds like a broken record. If you simply follow the procedure in the supplemental manual, you won't have any problems tweaking your lasers.
As for the procedure above,
no it is not correct. It has you adjusting the "Yaw" setting last, when this should be done first. You can't set the laser positions when the laser is not parallel to the blade. Yes, if the laser is so far out of whack that it isn't even visible, then of course you need to bring out the "Tilt" adjustment so it becomes visible first. But if it is visible, then your first adjustment must be the yaw.
