Kapex or MFT3 with Tracksaw

I'm sure this has been debated numerous times. However I'm contemplating either getting an MFT3 to go with my TS75 or getting a Kapex.

I don't have a sliding compound miter saw and for the most part I don't know that I really truly need one. I have an older delta 10" CMS and a Delta Sawbuck that's been around for 20+ years that I keep over at my parents house since it's got a fairly large footprint.

My main use for this would be rough cross cutting of longer pieces into rough sizes before milling and squaring up on my table saw sled and cutting to the length I need. Being that the Kapex is twice the price of an MFT3 and I already have a TS75, would it make sense to get an MFT3 for this task as well as using it for other operations. I'm not doing a lot of moulding or trim work in the near future.

Any feedback on pros and cons or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If all you're looking for is a rough cut to finish on the table saw then don't get the Kapex.  Your money would be much better spent on some other green tool.

The first time I looked at the MFT/3 I said it's too small and not sturdy.  I finally got one and now I'm about to buy a second one next week.  One for the shop and one for site work although I think I'll eventually end up connecting them in the shop.

I'd have to agree with Greg been using both the track saw two MFT3's and the kapex for a few months. These tools aren't for rough cutting they provide finish cuts. As long as your splinter gaurd is fresh. Kapex is the nicest saw I've ever used.  The TS is the most innovative.  Although my boss isn't that impressed with the kapex. $ to expectancy ratio I guess.

I have a dual MFT/TS55 setup and a Kapex.

If my main need was to cut lengths of rough boards, I'd use the track saw on the MFTs. Because, I'd have to find a way to support a long board on the Kapex.

I totally agree with using the table saw and sled combination for super accurate cuts. 

If you get the MFT, I suggest getting the leg braces. They help with stability. Qwas dogs also are a very helpful accessory. They make excellent use of the MFT hole pattern.
