Kapex Problems

Whenn using my Kapex 120 yesterday I noted that it was starting to get a bit stiff when trying to pull the blade down to the work piece. I had a general look around the machine and can't find anything obvious that's preventing this, the release catch seems to be free.

Has anyone come across this before?

When mine was new out of the box it was stiff, tracked it down to the main spring that holds it up, a very light squirt of wd40 on it and the saw works fine. You may want to use another spray or lube, I was on the job site and wd40 was all we had.
